Olivier is a corporate/M&A senior associate with a focus on transactions involving listed companies. He has a wide range of experience, advising clients on a variety of matters such as, in addition to public M&A, Dutch securities laws, IPOs, private M&A and joint ventures, the highlights of which are listed below. In October 2011 Olivier joined Allen & Overy after graduating from Utrecht University and Durham University (UK). In addition to his work in the corporate department, he gained experience in the Employment Law practice group in Amsterdam, as well as as an in-house lawyer during his secondment to the employment law team of Royal Dutch Shell in The Hague. 

From October 2017 until October 2018 Oliver worked in Allen & Overy’s Tokyo office advising on inbound and outbound M&A projects. 

Olivier is an active participant in the Dutch Japanese Trade Federation (Dujat).

Atrium on the EUR 1.4bn acquisition by way of scheme of arrangement by Gazit Globe (2019); 

Wessanen on the EUR 885m public takeover by a consortium of PAI and Charles Jobson (2019); 

Saxo Bank on the EUR 424m public offer for all shares in BinckBank (2018); 

PPG on its aborted public offer on AkzoNobel (2017);

Telegraaf Media Groep (TMG) on its public takeover by Mediahuis and VP Exploitatie (2017); 

Delta Lloyd on its EUR2.5bn public takeover by NN Group (2016); 

Qualcomm on its USD47bn acquisition of NXP Semiconductors through a tender offer (aborted) (2016); 

AVG
in connection with the offer by Avast (2016); 

AHOLD
on its EUR25bn merger with Delhaize to create Europe’s largest listed food retailer (2015); 

TNT Express on the EUR4.4bn recommend public offer by FedEx on TNT Express (2015); 

SHV Holdings on its EUR3.5bn public takeover of Nutreco, a global leader in animal nutrition (2014); 

D.E Master Blenders on its USD9.6bn take-private by a consortium led by JAB (2013); 

Mediq on its EUR775m public takeover by Advent International (2012); and

Mexichem
on its EUR 531m public takeover of Wavin (2012).
