Ellen heads the Allen & Overy Amsterdam Investment Management team. Her main practice areas are alternative investment funds such as venture capital funds, private equity funds and debt funds and other investment institutions and advising on investment and custody agreements. 

She specialises in the legal structuring of these funds, whether regulated or non-regulated funds, and the implementation of these structures. Ellen has a thorough background in regulatory, securities and corporate law. She advises investors, including insurance companies, large pension funds and DFIs, around the world on participating in private equity, debt, infrastructure and other alternative asset class funds and financial institutions and fund managers on the regulatory and corporate law aspects of their activities.
