Miao has extensive experience in advising on the formation of alternative investment funds investing in various types of assets classes, including real estate, infrastructure, and private debt. She is experienced with both Luxembourg and Cayman structures, including carry vehicles. Miao also regularly assists institutional investors on their participation/investments in alternative investment funds and advises funds and banks on fund finance transactions.

She joined Allen & Overy in January 2019, prior to which she gained seven years of experience working in other leading law firms based in Hong Kong and in Beijing.
