Jacques advises on a wide range of cross-border public and private M&A and corporate transactions, including equity capital markets related work, across all sectors, with a specific focus on financial institutions, asset management, private equity and real estate. Over the last years, he has advised on some of the most visible FIG M&A transactions in Luxembourg. Jacques also regularly advises actors from the public sector in Luxembourg. He heads our local FIG/Banking working group and is an active member of our local Real Estate taskforce.
Prior to joining Allen & Overy in 2013, Jacques worked for five years at two major U.S. law firms in New York and Paris where he gained significant experience in capital markets and financing transactions in addition to working on corporate matters. He was a lecturer in corporate law at the University of Paris II-Assas from 2010 to 2013 and has published various articles on the subject.

Advising a global private equity firm on the acquisition of the German Xella group from PAI Partners and Goldman Sachs (closed April 2017).
Advising Corestate Capital on its initial public offering and subsequent uplisting of its shares to the Prime Standard segment of the Frankfurt regulated stock exchange (closed November 2017).
Advising a global financial institution on the sale to BGL BNP Paribas of all the outstanding shares in its Luxembourg and insurance divisions (closed September 2018).
