Chambers Latin America 2024 recognizes A&O partners and practices

Chambers and Partners has once again recognized two A&O Latin American practice areas and three lawyers in its annual Chambers Latin America 2024 Guide.

The guide ranked A&O’s Project Finance (International Counsel) team in Band 2, noting that the firm’s “…respected global practice has a strong team of project finance lawyers experienced in handling complex transactions throughout the region,” and “is well versed in matters such as transport infrastructure, power and renewable energy projects.”

The guide also ranked the firm Band 4 in Banking & Finance (International Counsel), noting that the practitioners, “regularly counsel lenders and borrowers engaging in corporate and acquisition finance, in addition to interbank lending matters.”

In addition, Chambers recognized three individual partners as International Counsel in Latin America in various practice areas, highlighting their experience, client dedication and the value they create for clients:

Dorina Yessios, head of the firm’s Latin America practice, congratulated the team on their recognition, noting that, “We are very proud of our team’s accomplishments in Latin America across energy & infrastructure projects and M&A, banking & finance and international arbitration. We thank our clients for their kind words and Chambers for its recognition.”

Karen Seward and Kent Rowey, U.S. co-chairs of Allen & Overy, congratulated the firm’s Latin America practitioners for their recognition, stating, “As our firm continues to service the region, we’re thankful to all of our lawyers for their commitment to our clients and each other and to our regional and global clients for their trust in and partnership with us.”

Based in London, Chambers and Partners ranks leading regional and international firms and attorneys based on in-depth research and interviews with attorneys’ clients and peers. Chambers assesses attorneys on attributes most valued by clients, including technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, and commitment. Most attorneys are ranked in bands of 1-6, with all band rankings considered to be a significant achievement. Some attorneys earn specialized Chambers designations including “Senior Statesperson” which indicates an attorney who no longer works hands-on with the same intensity but remains pivotal to the success of the firm, and “Star” individual, which is awarded to lawyers with exceptional recommendations in their fields. The Chambers Latin America guide is widely read by industry-leading companies and organizations nationwide. For more information, visit https://www.chambersandpartners.com.
