Allen & Overy has appointed New York-based partner David Lucking as head of its global International Capital Markets (ICM) practice for a four-year term.
Commenting on David’s appointment, A&O global managing partner Gareth Price said: “From starting as a trainee in our London office over 20 years ago, to heading up our growing New York and Washington D.C. capital markets teams since 2016, David brings a wealth of experience on both sides of the Atlantic.
“The appointment of a New York-based global practice head reflects the firm’s commitment to the U.S. market, where we continue to grow ambitiously having added 17 new partners in the U.S. in the last 12 months alone.
“I am sure the global ICM practice will continue to build on the success it has had in supporting our clients on cutting edge transactions and regulatory change projects across the globe under David Benton’s leadership, and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for his contribution as practice head.”
