Allen & Overy advises Macquarie Asset Management’s investment in Galway Sustainable Credit

Allen & Overy (“A&O”) today announced its advisement of funds affiliated with Macquarie Asset Management’s Green Investment Group (“Macquarie”) on a USD250 million investment in Galway Sustainable Credit, LLC (“Galway”). A&O’s support of Macquarie’s investment in Galway spanned multiple practice areas, including the firm’s market-leading M&A and Projects Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure (PENRI) teams.

With A&O’s support, the deal brings together the world’s largest team of specialist green infrastructure developers and investors to deploy capital solutions that accelerate the transition to clean, decarbonized energy. Since its establishment in 2020, Galway has deployed more than USD250 million towards projects at the forefront of the global energy transition. Macquarie’s investment will allow Galway to support a greater number of qualified projects, from infrastructure to transportation, aimed at advancing renewable energy solutions and promoting an overall sustainable future.
