Shuhui Kwok

I joined A&O in 2015, having qualified at a firm in Singapore. Since joining, I have worked on a wide variety of cross border and multi-jurisdictional matters, with a particular focus on financial services and other regulatory / advisory matters and M&A work. Many of the matters I have worked on involve a cross section of my two areas of practice focus, and I’ve enjoyed working with the financial institutions and multinational corporates on their key transactions in the region.

A&O provides excellent opportunities to work on and feed in to multi-jurisdictional projects at A&O, and I appreciate the opportunity to get to know and learn from our colleagues in other offices, and share our experiences on market developments. I’ve travelled to both regional and global offsites in Rome, Vienna, Hong Kong and Bangkok to name a few and these events let you put a face to a name or a voice, and that is always nice!

The firm also invests in training for junior and senior associates alike - soft skills training, as well as technical learning sessions are held frequently, so associates not only keep up to date on the law, they learn how to deal with the challenges of legal practice in general. These training sessions, the exciting work opportunities, together with guidance from the partners, has made the experience at A&O all the more enriching and exciting.
