Lisa Goransson



Lisa is the head of A&O’s Nordic desk and a partner in the corporate department in London. Lisa has close to 30 years’ experience of corporate finance and general corporate work, both from working in private practice in Sweden and England and as the General Counsel of a Swedish large cap company listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. Lisa has wide corporate and M&A experience, as well as capital markets transactions, including IPOs, rights issues and private placements. She has particular expertise advising on cross-border transactions.

Sustainable finance: the EU taxonomy

Sustainable development and climate change were placed firmly back on the international agenda in 2015. In September that year, governments around the world, under the auspices of the UN, committed to 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to guide international action on economic, social and environmental targets. A few months later, in December, 195 countries signed the Paris Agreement and thus committed to keeping global warming to well below 2°C and to pursuing efforts to limit temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre industrial levels.
