Belgium: Mobile health apps can now be published on mhealthbelgium.be
In early January 2018, the Belgian Minister of Health published an announcement on the creation of a digital platform called the "Personal Health Viewer". The goal of this digitalisation initiative is to engage patients in the management of their own health.
In particular, the platform will enable patients to access their own medical file online and add information they deem relevant. Additionally, they can decide whether or not their file is shared with certain healthcare providers. Currently, patients are only able to access their medical file when visiting their healthcare professional.
The platform is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2018.
