Claire Rajan, litigation partner at Allen & Overy, shared her thoughts with Bloomberg Law on the Department of Justice building bribery cases by using suspicious activity reports submitted by banks.
“It’s a nice idea in theory to say let’s try to mine the data that is available to us and let’s leverage technology to do that,” said Claire. “But the reality is there is a lot of hay and it’s not clear that you would know a needle from looking at a SAR without any other information.”
