Allen & Overy has a long history of working with Canadian companies. Canadian banks and institutions were among our first international clients when the firm was founded in 1930.
Our Canada practice acts as international counsel to leading Canadian pension funds, banks and corporates as they look outside of Canada for investment opportunities. We have supported them as they expand their horizons as well as working with our multi-national clients looking to do business in Canada.
Our global team consists of lawyers with an understanding and awareness of both international and Canadian markets and public and private sector expertise.
From our New York and Washington offices, we provide U.S. law advice to a number of large Canadian financial institutions. We have a track record advising the largest Canadian banks around the world on complex matters, having acted in some of the most sophisticated and prestigious deals in the market.
For matters relating to Canadian law, we work closely with premier local Canadian counsel. Our global network and our close ties with these Canadian firms enable us to provide a comprehensive and informed service to our clients across a broad range of transactions.
