Jens Nagel is a highly experienced Senior Legal Project Manager based in Allen & Overy’s Project Management team. 

Jens’ responsibilities as a Senior Legal Project Manager include managing all aspects of legal matters, as well as providing management consulting on specific strategic, organisational and process-related challenges. His responsibilities include the management of all aspects of the matters, including setup, planning, co-ordinating teams, work streams and information flows, process optimisation, work allocation, resourcing, financial management and the implementation of legal tech solutions. 

Jens is a PRINCE2 Practitioner and Scrum Master. After completing his business management degree and his more than 12 years of professional experience in management consulting and legal project management Jens has been involved in several international litigation, data protection, due diligence, carve-out and re-structuring matters.
Jens has worked for NGOS and DAX-30 companies from the automotive, medical technology, energy, telecommunications, aviation, and industrial sector.

Jens is fluent in English and German.

Experience includes the project management of:

  • A class-action lawsuit in the automotive sector including the development and coordination of the global project management office, analysis and optimisation of organisational structures and processes within the project, development of escalation channels and introduction of standard communication. Furthermore, the revision of reporting structures and introduction of an interactive reporting system, budget planning and control, preparation of board documents regarding mandate strategy and efficiency improvements as well as coaching of partners and associates.
  • An international market entry in multiple jurisdictions to expand the delivery business including the setup and planning of project structure & approach, coordination of local counsel, Q&A process and required legal documentation, provision of progress and status reporting. Besides Jens organised the correspondence with local counsel regarding the establishment of country organizations and the setup of a tool solution for country reporting, collaboration, as well as document storage (incl. customer access and interactive dashboard).
  • A sell-side carve-out in the automotive supply industry including the steering and coordination of the project team, preparation and conduction of client meetings and creation of management presentations for steering committee, drafting and updating of project status reports. Besides the setup, maintenance, and update of legal implementation plans and disclosure schedules, the organisation of internal work allocation, project communication and coordination.
  • A contract review for OEM and supplier contracts to identify delivery obligations in the automotive sector including the coordination of mandate and conduction of work allocation, creation of board documents and status reporting and the summary of the contract review findings. Additionally Jens coordinated the first and second level contract review in collaboration with the associates, the setup, management/support of data rooms (on-site client support), the establishment of weekly status reports on the progress of document processing and the communication with the project management organisation on client side.
