Allen & Overy, international business law firm, has been a partner of the Paris Peace Forum since its creation. The sixth edition of the Forum will take place on 10 and 11 November 2023 on the theme “Seeking common ground in a world of rivalry”.
Since the founding of the Paris Peace Forum, Allen & Overy has brought its expertise, in the context of its pro bono activities, to help the Forum in its structuring and operation. Allen & Overy has been supporting the Forum on all institutional aspects in the context of its pro bono activities: - statutes, advice on governance, relationships with partners, etc. -, but also on matters relating to employement law and intellectual property as well as litigation. To this end, Allen & Overy mobilises, year after year, a team of fifteen lawyers experts in public law, employment law, intellectual property, data protection and IT, tax law and litigation.
With the desire to support and contribute to market debates in France and internationally, Allen & Overy also actively participates in the initiatives of the Forum, which brings together each year representatives of States, international organizations, businesses, development banks, foundations, NGOs and other actors from around the world, aiming at strengthening international cooperation.
The 6th edition of the Forum on the theme “Seeking common ground in a world of rivalry” focuses on identifying common ground on the governance of global commons and global public goods in domains like climate change, outer space or critical minerals. As a partner, the firm is specially involved in discussions in favor of the energy transition.
“Since 2017, we are proud to support the Paris Peace Forum, which constitutes a unique initiative, and which has established itself as an innovative platform to promote dialogue and a multilateral approach between all actors, public and private, on the major challenges of our time, such as peace, global health, digital technology or the energy transition", stresses Romaric Lazerges, partner at Allen & Overy in Paris and in charge of the partnership.
