Our first Middle East office opened in Dubai in 1978, with our Abu Dhabi office following in 2007. Our UAE practice provides a comprehensive legal service to our clients. We advise large companies, banks and government entities on their commercial and financial activities. Our lawyers are consequently exposed to a very wide variety of high-profile and excellent work and have numerous opportunities to advance their skill-sets.

Corporate and M&A
The UAE offices advise on corporate law, including domestic and regional mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, outward investments by UAE clients, inward investment by international clients and commercial arrangements (such as agency arrangements) for international clients conducting business within the UAE. Our comprehensive M&A advice covers disposals, public and private companies, joint ventures, private investments and takeovers.
Finance
Our UAE finance practice is one of the leading practices across the Middle East. We advise on all aspects of finance law, including bank finance for both borrowers (both local and international banks), debt capital markets for issuers and managers and all aspects of Islamic financing (including Sukuks).
Litigation, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution
Our Litigation lawyers have extensive experience of handling a wide range of disputes throughout the UAE and wider Middle East, across the broad spectrum of industry sectors. Our UAE projects group is recognised as “top-tier” in all the major legal directories. We are the market leader in projects and have played an important role in some of the major projects in infrastructure (roads, bridges) and energy (renewables, oil and gas) taking place in the UAE and across the region. Working environment
Allen & Overy Abu Dhabi is located on the 5th floor of Al Mamoura Building B on Muroor Road. Conveniently removed from the immediate bustle of the city centre, yet still situated near the main commercial centre with easy access out towards the airport and towards Dubai. Beach Rotana is in the bustling tourist club area and backs on to the popular Abu Dhabi mall.
Our Dubai office is in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), which is classed as the "financial hub" of Dubai. It is a bustling area with many cafes, restaurants, bars and a gym.It also boasts easy access to Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa.
