Post Graduate Diploma in Law (PGDL)

As a non-law graduate, your Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) with us will be the same as a law graduate.  However, your route to qualification will be slightly different.

Those who have completed a law degree in an international jurisdiction that is not recognised as a qualifying law degree by the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority will need to either complete the Post Graduate Diploma in Law (PGDL*) or pass the SQE Starter Course assessment (this is a 75-minute MCQ test, with a 50% passing mark).

If you are offered QWE with us, we will work closely with you to determine the right pathway for you. 

*The PGDL is an eight-month course designed to teach you research skills and everything you need to know about law before you join those who already have a Law degree. If you have already completed the PGDL with another provider, we will recognise these qualifications.
