Carbon transport and storage in the UK

Today the UK Government has announced which two carbon transport and storage clusters have been successful in the initial phase of the UK Government's carbon capture, usage and storage cluster sequencing process.

This is an important milestone in the development of carbon capture and storage clusters in the UK and brings into sharp focus the central role to be played by carbon transport and storage providers.

The transport and storage networks will be both the physical and the commercial lynchpin to a new carbon sector in the UK.

In this paper, we set out some of our observations on the status of the CCUS cluster process and the regulated investment model proposed to support development of this new energy asset class.
