The A&O Shearman Japan team is dedicated to supporting our clients based in Japan and beyond, enabling them to deliver on their strategic business goals while mitigating risk. We are the window for Japanese clients to A&O Shearman’s global network and help international clients navigate the Japanese market across a broad range of complex matters, including inbound and outbound cross-border M&A and investments, capital markets transactions, projects and financings, as well as investigations and disputes. We combine genuine local depth through our international and bengoshi team with truly global reach. On the ground in Tokyo, we advise on English, Japanese and US law. Our Japan team and wider firm also work closely and extensively with Japanese law firms to serve clients, and this is especially so for our US law practitioners in Japan.  This will continue at A&O Shearman, and there are no limitations on our ability to work with appropriate Japanese law counsel to serve client needs.
