Allen & Overy LLP has been admitted with the Rechtsanwaltskammer in Frankfurt am Main as a foreign professional practice entity under sections 207a, 59f BRAO and provides legal services through its branch in the Federal Republic of Germany.
The lawyers of Allen & Overy LLP practicing in the Federal Republic of Germany are admitted as Rechtsanwältin or Rechtsanwalt and member of the local bar (Rechtsanwaltskammer); or they are members of the local bar as foreign lawyers. Tax advisors, notaries or lawyers who are at the same time members of one of the other professions are admitted in the Federal Republic of Germany as a Rechtsanwalt, Steuerberater and/or Notar and are members of the relevant local bars.

Professional indemnity insurance
The professional indemnity insurance for the German branch of Allen & Overy LLP and for the activities of A&O's German lawyers and tax advisors has been taken out with AXA Versicherung AG, Colonia-Allee 10-20, 51067 Köln. The territorial scope of the insurance cover includes activities within the member states of the European Union.
Allen & Overy has also in place professional indemnity insurance led by Travelers Insurance DAC. This professional indemnity insurance covers Allen & Overy entities worldwide and extends to acts or omissions wherever in the world they occur.
