Gonzalo's practice focuses on domestic and international commercial and investment arbitration, as well as litigation in civil, contractual and corporate disputes.

Gonzalo has worked on matters related to industries such as construction, energy or real estate and also has experience advising on litigation funding.

Among the most relevant cases in which he has participated, the following can be highlighted: an ICC arbitration concerning the dispute over a construction and sponsorship contract for a football stadium, a CAM arbitration on a corporate conflict regarding a developer company of the most important real estate project in the city of Madrid and an ICC dispute related to the construction of an oil refinery in Central America, as well as investment arbitrations governed by the ICSID rules, against the Kingdom of Spain, for alleged violations of the Energy Charter Treaty in relation to the legal incentives for renewable energy.

During his years at the firm, Gonzalo also worked in the financial law department, participating in syndicated financing transactions both domestic and international, and in the legal business advisory of Santander Consumer Finance (secondment), advising on M&A transactions.
