Robert Simmons
Senior Associate
Robert is a Senior Associate in the Derivatives and Structured Finance practice in A&O Shearman’s London office.
Robert advises bank and non-bank clients across a wide variety of product areas and asset classes, with a particular focus on credit derivatives (both cleared and uncleared), capital relief transactions and hedging products. In the derivatives space, Robert advises the EMEA CDS Determinations Committee and was involved in the industry’s implementation of initial and variation margin documentation, working with two financial institutions through the MarginMatrix advanced delivery platform. He has also been heavily involved in advising bank clients on Eurozone sovereign financial crises. Robert has extensive experience in significant risk transfer deals, and has represented a range of issuer, arranger and investor clients. Robert has also completed secondments at two international investment banks.
