Nick Charlwood

Nick specialises in complex, cross-border debt restructurings, insolvencies and special situations financings. 

Nick advises a wide range of clients, including par and secondary investors and creditor committees, as well as debtors, financial sponsors and insolvency practitioners. He has extensive experience of restructuring process and has worked across a range of jurisdictions and industries.

Earlier in his career, Nick spent time on secondment to Deutsche Bank in London, working principally on workouts of non-performing commercial real estate financings. He has also worked for the firm in Beijing and Hong Kong.

Vue International on its fully consensual financial restructuring including additional liquidity financing.

The Vroon group on its landmark US$900m restructuring, involving the first ever parallel Dutch WHOA and English scheme of arrangement processes.

Imagina Media Audiovisual (Mediapro) on its negotiations with creditors, recapitalisation and subsequent refinancing.

Intralot S.A. on its liability management transactions.
