Naomi Briercliffe



Naomi represents clients in international commercial and investor-state arbitrations, and has also advised on state-to-state disputes, including before the International Court of Justice and Iran-U.S. Claims Tribunal. Naomi has experience of institutional and ad hoc arbitration proceedings, including arbitrations under the ICC, LCIA, SCC, ICSID and UNCITRAL Rules. She has appeared as counsel and advocate in commercial, investor-state and state-to-state cases.

Naomi acts for a broad spectrum of clients from across the globe, but has particular experience of disputes relating to the energy, telecoms and infrastructure sectors, and arising in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

In addition to her disputes work, Naomi provides advice on public international law matters, front-end risk management options for international investments and the enforcement of awards and judgments.

Naomi is recommended by Who’s Who Arbitration (2018 and 2019), Chambers (2019) and Legal 500 (2018 and 2019). The directories describe her as “a rising star and future leader”, with “remarkable expertise in public international law” (Who’s Who Arbitration 2019).
