Katrina is a partner in Allen & Overy’s global restructuring and insolvency group and acts for financial institutions, funds, corporates, and insolvency practitioners. Katrina has advised on some of the most significant insolvencies and restructurings in the market over the last ten years, including the coordinating committee of lenders on the restructuring of the Stemcor Group, which involved coordinating over 80 lenders holding GBP3bn of debt and the steering committee of bondholders of Greek Sovereign bonds.

Additionally, Katrina has advised the senior lenders on the debt restructuring of Wind Hellas Telecommunications, which involved a shift of COMI to the UK and one of the largest pre-packs in the market; the special PPP administrators of Metronet, the tube maintenance and renewal business, including advising on the transfer of the business back to the public sector under a special transfer scheme; the lenders to Cortefiel, the Spanish retailer in connection with one of the first “amend and extend” UK schemes of arrangement; and KPMG as administrators and liquidators of the holding companies within the TXU energy group which involved one of the earliest uses of a CVA in a major restructuring.

Katrina has also been involved in some of the major Middle Eastern restructurings in the market including the restructuring of Tabreed, the Dubai listed district cooling business and the restructuring of Dry Docks World LLC, the ship and rig building arm of Dubai World.

Katrina is recognised by Chambers as a leading individual and is seen as a “talented” lawyer who “really battles for the right outcome for her client” (Chambers UK 2016).
