Jake is an associate in the Firm’s Environmental Law Group and International Trade and Regulatory Law Group. He advises U.S. and multijurisdictional clients on compliance, transactional risk management, and investigations related to environmental law, ESG, economic sanctions, and other international trade laws and regulations. 

With respect to environmental matters, Jake’s practice includes assessing and allocating environmental risk in complex cross-border business transactions and advising on a broad range of environmental and compliance risks. 

Jake also has experience advising on a range of compliance, transactional, and investigatory matters involving: U.S. economic, financial, and trade related sanctions and export controls (including in particular those administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the U.S. Department of Commerce); national security risks posed by contemplated foreign investment into the U.S. (including in particular advising on and managing filings with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS)); the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA); and the Bank Secrecy Act of 1970.
