Godfried specialises in Dutch and international tax law. He serves as the head of the Amsterdam tax department and is a member of the Global Tax Board.

His practice focuses on advising clients on the tax aspects of private and public mergers and acquisitions, public offerings (equity and debt), real estate, infrastructure and energy related transactions and other major corporate transactions, including spin-offs, international restructurings and joint ventures. Godfried also litigates tax disputes. He is admitted to the Amsterdam Bar (advocaat), a member of the Dutch Bar of Tax Advisors and of the Dutch Tax Society.
