Robin is the Co-Head of our Global Private Equity practice.
He has many years of experience advising sponsors and their portfolio companies on all aspects of the financing of private equity deals in many jurisdictions, including acquisitions, bolt-on acquisitions, refinancings, dividend recapitalisations, joint ventures, regulated businesses, exits and restructurings.
He is committed to deal doing, is hands on, innovative and commercial with deep market insight and enjoys building long term relationships with sponsors as part of their home team.
Robin has one of the most established practises in the market which he combines with his role leading the growth of our Global Private Equity practice. His clients include PAI, Ardian, Bridgepoint and Goldman Sachs Asset Management Division.
Robin is included in Legal 500s Hall of Fame, having described him as having an "excellent reputation among private equity sponsors". He is also recognised as a Key Individual for Banking and Finance by Chambers UK and is identified by peers as “one of the pre-eminent lawyers in the London market".
In 2022, the A&O sponsor team ranked No 1 by deal count (and No 2 by deal value) acting for Western Europe sponsor backed-borrowers and Western Europe borrowers in Debtwire’s league table rankings.
