Petr specialises in restructuring and insolvency and represents clients in judicial and arbitration proceedings and complex cross-border transactions. He is also a registered arbitrator at Czech and foreign arbitration institutions. During his career, Petr has represented international and local financial institutions and other clients in insolvency proceedings, incidental disputes and asset acquisitions, including portfolios of receivables. He is the leader of a team of authors of a commentary on the Insolvency Act. He has also written articles and given lectures on insolvency in the Czech Republic and abroad. As a member of the working groups of the Ministry of Justice, Petr participates in the implementation of the Directive on Restructuring and Insolvency and has also prepared a part of Czech insolvency legislation responding to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. He has also assisted in the preparation of a number comparative publications for INSOL Europe and the World Bank.
