Peter’s practice consists of a wide range of corporate matters, with particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions (both domestic and cross-border) and joint ventures / co-investments, and the establishment and operation of Luxembourg investment platforms for alternative investment managers. He regularly acts as the key point of contact for clients, coordinating specialist teams as needed, both in relation to Luxembourg structures and also the investments that are carried out from those structures. He was seconded to a FTSE 100 company in Luxembourg in 2006 and joined Allen & Overy in Luxembourg in 2010.
Peter is the co-head of Allen & Overy’s alternative investment group globally, a member of the executive committee of the Luxembourg Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (LPEA), and a regular speaker at seminars in Luxembourg and the surrounding area on a broad range of topics, including recently on trends in the alternative investment space, M&A trends, recent developments in Luxembourg corporate law, and directors’ duties under Luxembourg law.

Advising a global investment bank on the sale of its global Corporate Services business to the Vistra Group, a global corporate service provider. The business specialises in the administration of structures for structured finance transactions (CLOs, CDOs, securitizations, mortgage-backed securities), aircraft leasing, commercial real estate holding and investment funds (mainly private equity and real estate).
Advising Oaktree Capital Management, on the sale of its portfolio company SACO Property Group to Brookfield.
Advising U.S.-based Global Bankers Insurance Group, a consortium of insurance and reinsurance companies focusing on life insurance and annuities, on its acquisition of NN Life Luxembourg, a Luxembourg-based life insurance solutions provider (formerly ING Life Luxembourg), from NN Group.
Advising the seller on the sale of IVC Group, a major flooring manufacturer, to Mohawk Industries.
