Nick is a partner in the Funds & Asset Management Group. He represents asset managers and institutional investors on a broad range of investment structures, including the structuring, establishing and management of private and public investment funds, joint ventures and funds of one. He also advises on secondary disposals of fund interests and other equity syndications, co-investments, carried interest arrangements, M&A and spin-outs of asset managers and fund financings.
He covers the full range of asset classes and has particular focus on real estate, infrastructure, energy, private equity and debt (whether direct lending or special situations).
Nick also advises on all the national and international regulatory issues affecting asset managers and their investment structures, including their internal compliance arrangements and responses to external issues, such as Brexit and Covid-19.

Advising Hines on a wide range of real estate fund establishment and joint venture transactions, including Hines European Value Fund 1, which achieved a total fund size of over EUR720m and Hines European Value Fund 2, which secured EUR637m of investor commitments at its first closing. Experience also includes advising on the Hines European Core Fund, a pan-European open-ended fund.
