Nick regularly advises financial institutions on national and international regulations, with a focus on regulatory reforms including the introduction of MiFID II and MAR, the development of new markets and clearing settlement systems, and the impact of Brexit on bank operations and structures. He has recently published an article on the key issues and regulatory scrutiny surrounding the development of the EU and UK MAR regimes.

An area of particular interest for Nick is on the regulation of the wholesale financial markets and financial market infrastructure (securities and derivatives trading venues, custodians, payment systems and clearing houses). Nick has extensive experience in legal and regulatory issues associated with transaction banking, payments and cash management businesses and regularly works with many of the largest market participants in this field.
