Nadir specialises in international arbitration and multi-jurisdictional litigation covering the full range of dispute resolution, with an emphasis on issues of jurisdiction and conflict of laws.

He regularly advises and represents clients in the energy, offshore construction, financial services and telecommunications sectors. Nadir is experienced in conducting arbitrations under major institutional rules.

A representative sample of Nadir’s experience includes successfully representing:

  • an international energy company in post-M&A arbitration proceedings under the rules of the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NAI) in connection with the divestment of its downstream business in the Netherlands;
  • an Irish pharmaceutical distributor in arbitration proceedings under the rule of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in relation to a dispute with an international pharmaceutical manufacturer;
  • a project consortium in Dutch court proceedings against the State of the Netherlands in connection with a ca. EUR 1.8 million contractual dispute under a 35-year infrastructure concession agreement;
  • a shareholder in Dutch court proceedings in connection with ca. EUR 100 million multi-jurisdictional ownership dispute; and
  • a leading offshore construction company in arbitration proceedings under the rules of the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NAI) in connection with a ca. EUR 20 million dispute with a contractor.
