Miao advises primarily on the formation of private funds and advice on downstream private equity transactions as well as assisting various investors investing in private funds. She holds a Bachelor of law (LLB) from China University of Political Science and Law, a Master 2 in International law from China University of Political Science and Law and a Master 2 in EU Law from the University of Hamburg.

Miao joined Allen & Overy in 2019, prior to which she had gained seven years of experience working in another leading law firm in Hong Kong and a leading international law firm in Beijing.
