Matthew advises on a broad array of regulatory matters in the financial sector, including advice that relates to ESG and sustainable finance, banking and investment services, financial market infrastructure, M&A mandates and payments and fintech.
He has experience advising on the UK regulatory perimeter and post-Brexit structuring, sustainable finance and ESG regulation, UK MiFID II, derivatives regulation, financial market infrastructure and payments systems, recovery and resolution frameworks and on regulatory capital requirements, in addition to more general legal issues arising in the financial services industry.
Matthew advises a wide range of clients on cross-border issues, from major financial institutions and global banks to fintech companies and asset managers.
During his training contract, Matthew was seconded to the UK and EU regulatory reform team at a leading US bank.
