Maria advises German and international corporate clients, private equity investors and venture capital funds on complex intra-group reorganisations and various aspects of corporate law and commercial law with a special focus on cross-border private equity transactions as well as public M&A transactions.

Maria is a German-qualified lawyer who was recently seconded to Allen & Overy’s private equity practice group at the Amsterdam office. She joined Allen & Overy in 2019 as an associate in the Corporate / M&A practice group. Prior to joining Allen & Overy, Maria worked as a trainee at a major international US-law firm in Frankfurt am Main and at the German Embassy in Washington, D.C. Parallel to her PhD-thesis, she worked for another international US-law firm in Berlin focussing on international and European trade and corporate issues.
