Marcus is an Associate in the Derivatives and Structured Finance practice at Allen & Overy LLP. He is also a member of the Markets Innovation Group, a group of lawyers and developers who are focused on the creation of innovative solutions for clients to meet large-scale legal and regulatory challenges.
Over the past year, Marcus has been advising large financial institutions on legal issues relating to IBOR transition and the impact on the cash and derivatives market globally, with a focus on the impact of the ISDA IBOR Fallbacks Protocol. He has also been involved in advising bank clients on their Brexit transition, including acting for two clients in designing and operating Allen & Overy’s online negotiating platform Brexit Matrix.
Marcus also has experience of OTC derivatives products across various asset classes and has worked on a number of hedging transactions, including hedging aspects of real-estate finance and project finance.
Marcus spent time working in New York, during which he advised the ISDA Credit Derivatives Determinations Committee for the Americas.
