Louise has worked on a broad range of debt capital markets transactions including EMTN and GMTN programme establishments and drawdowns, sukuk issuances as well as covered bond transactions, and has acted for lenders, issuers, arrangers, trustees and borrowers.
Louise’s practice mainly focusses on emerging markets debt capital markets issuances and social housing bond finance transactions. Louise has previously worked in Singapore, Tokyo and Dubai and was listed on the HERoes 100 Women Future Leaders List in 2020.
Other noteworthy experience includes advising:
- Places for People on updates to its GBP2bn EMTN programme.
- OTP Bank Plc in relation to the establishment of a EUR 5bn EMTN programme.
- Issuers and arrangers on EMTN/GMTN programme establishments and drawdowns and standalone bond issues in multiple jurisdictions across Europe, MENA and APAC.
- Issuers and Arrangers on the establishment of, and drawdowns under, a number of covered bond programmes (both statutory and structured) in various jurisdictions including Poland (PKO Bank) Singapore (UOB), Turkey (Yapi, Garanti, Akbank) and Greece (Piraeus).
- Issuers and Arrangers on the establishment of, and drawdowns under, Islamic MTN programmes and standalone sukuk issuances (including the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Republic of Indonesia, Garuda, Sime Darby).
- Issuers and multilateral investors on private placements to multilateral investors with specific ESG criteria (including EIB, EIF, EBRD and IFC).
- Issuers and dealer managers in relation to various liability management exercises.

State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) as guarantor and GTLK Europe Limited as issuer on its 2019 issuances of USD500m Guaranteed Notes due 2025 and USD550m Guaranteed Notes due 2026 and its 2020 issuances of USD 600m Guaranteed Notes due 2027 and USD500m in Guaranteed Notes due 2028.
International Investment Bank in relation to the establishment and update of its EUR 1.5bn EMTN programme.
The Arranger and Dealers on the establishment of a GBP2.5bn EMTN programme for London & Quadrant Housing Trust and the first drawdown thereunder.
The Republic of North Macedonia in respect of the issuance of EUR700m Notes due 2026.

Pro-bono experience
- Advising investors in respect of a loan note instrument issued by Five Lamps, a UK-based charity and responsible lender offering affordable loans to socially and financially excluded individuals as an alternative solution to high-cost credit.
