Livio heads the Italian Employment & Benefits team. He specialises in employment law, advising major corporates and financial institutions on both contentious and non-contentious matters including individual dismissals, termination of executives' contracts, agency agreements, expatriation procedures and secondments as well as company restructurings, mass layoff and reorganisations processes.
Livio has worked in Italy and abroad on employment issues connected to due diligence activities, private equity deals, joint-ventures and commercial agreements. He is a member of the European Lawyers Association (EELA), the International Bar Association (IBA) and the Italian Employment Lawyers Association (AGI).

Experience highlights
Ball Corporation, a supplier of metal packaging to the beverage, food, personal care and household products industries, in relation to its restructuring process, including the closure of its Italian facility located in San Martino Sulla Marruccina (near Chieti) and the related dismissal of 70 employees.
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment Italia, the home video distribution business of the Twentieth Century Fox Group, in relation to the reorganisation of the Italian company and the resulting workforce reduction.
EG Group on the employment related aspects of its acquisition of the going concern consisting of approx. 1,200 Esso branded service stations located throughout Italy from Esso Italiana, an ExxonMobil Group company. Through this acquisition, EG Group will enter the Italian market for the first time.
ESAB Saldatura, an international company active in the welding consumable and equipment sector, on the employment law aspects connected to the transfer of the Welding business branch as a going concern from Sandvik Italia. The local Italian purchase was part of a global transaction under which ESAB purchased the welding wire business from Sandvik Materials Technology.
