Kristyn Hansen

She has drafted and argued motions in State and Federal courts and has participated in a broad array of complex litigation matters from inception through discovery and trial preparation. Kristyn is passionate about the life sciences and technology industries and has a particular interest in Hatch-Waxman litigation, having written on the subject in connection with antitrust claims that may arise in the context of such disputes.

Kristyn’s experience includes matters at the intersection of technology and antitrust. Most notably, Kristyn has been involved in national smartphone app store antitrust litigation, including coordinating third-party fact discovery relating to online gaming and payment processing. She has also counselled clients on antitrust matters with respect to proposed exclusivity agreements, Colgate and MAP policies, and with issues arising under the Robinson-Patman Act, Lanham Act and analogous state laws. Kristyn is well-versed in current issues regarding Standard Essential Patents, having conducted annual reviews of global FRAND decisions in connection with her prior role. As a general litigator, Kristyn has also worked on matters concerning data privacy and evaluating clients’ policies, terms and conditions for compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and other state data privacy laws.

At her prior firm, Kristyn was actively involved in mentoring and served as co-chair of the Associate liaison committee.
