Kara is an associate in the global Projects, Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure practice, based in our Washington, D.C. office. Her practice focusses on federal income tax matters related to renewable energy projects.
Kara also has experience advising clients on the tax aspects of fund and joint venture formation and on investments in US real estate. Prior to joining Allen & Overy, Kara was an attorney with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, Passthroughs & Special Industries, where she advised on the carried interest tax regulations and on various tax litigation matters.
