John has been based in Singapore since 2011, and has acted in a variety of cross-border arbitrations, including under SIAC, ICC and UNCITRAL Rules. He advises clients on complex commercial disputes across all business sectors, with a particular focus on energy and resources in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.

John has represented clients in, among other things, post-M&A warranty and indemnity claims, joint venture disputes, construction disputes and disputes concerning the sale of commodities. He also regularly advises on governing law and jurisdiction clauses and conflict of laws issues.
