John is a U.S.-qualified partner in the London office and specializes in high yield bonds and leveraged finance transactions, including acquisition financings, recapitalizations, restructurings and liability management. He also regularly advises corporate issuers, financial sponsors and investment banks on other capital market transactions and U.S. securities law matters.

John has advised on some of the most significant European high yield deals in recent years (IFLR). He is recognised in the high yield market as a Leading Lawyer – Highly Regarded (IFLR1000) and a Leading Individual (Legal 500) with clients describing him as "very engaged and commercial". John graduated from Harvard Law School in 2007 as a Fulbright scholar and was recognized as Best Lawyer under 30 in the Netherlands in 2013 (Memory Group).
