John is a U.S. securitization partner with extensive experience in SEC-registered offerings, private placements (Rule 144A, Regulation D and Section 4(a)(2))and Regulation S offerings. He has represented issuers, underwriters, placement agents, trustees, and investors in corporate finance transactions, covered bonds, collateralized loan obligations and asset-backed securities, including securitizations of auto loans and leases, dealer floor-plan financings, credit card receivables, student loans, trade receivables, mortgage loans, servicer advances, tobacco fee settlement awards, tobacco quota payments, life settlements and utility stranded costs. John has represented numerous clients on the development of innovative structures involving structured finance products. His work also includes advising clients in connection with tender and exchange offers in liability management transactions and restructurings and in connection with asset purchases and dispositions.
John has played a key role in the drafting of comment letters for industry groups regarding various proposed regulations affecting offerings of asset-backed securities.
John has been listed as a recommended lawyer in ranking directories.
