Jacques has experience of a wide range of cross-border public and private M&A and corporate transactions across all sectors with a specific focus on financial institutions (including insurance), real estate and private equity. Jacques also regularly advises actors from the public sector in Luxembourg. He is an active member of our Space & Satellites practice group as well as our FinTech task force, supporting clients from established financial institutions, incumbents and start-ups.
Prior to joining Allen & Overy in 2013, Jacques worked for five years at two major U.S. law firms in New York and Paris where he gained significant experience in capital markets and financing transactions in addition to working on corporate matters. He was a lecturer in corporate law at the University of Paris II-Assas from 2010 to 2013 and has published various articles on the subject.

Advising Lone Star on the acquisition of the German Xella group from PAI Partners and Goldman Sachs (closed April 2017).
Advising Corestate Capital on its initial public offering and subsequent uplisting of its shares to the Prime Standard segment of the Frankfurt regulated stock exchange (closed November 2017).
Advising ABN AMRO Bank on the sale to BGL BNP Paribas of all the outstanding shares in ABN AMRO Bank (Luxembourg) and its fully owned subsidiary ABN AMRO Life (closed September 2018).
Advising the Luxembourg government, through its start-up incubator Technoport, on a joint venture innovation platform with Vodafone, known as “Tomorrow Street” (closed February 2017).
