Jacob is a member of the Intellectual Property group in the Washington, D.C. office. His work focuses on intellectual property litigation in both district courts and the International Trade Commission.
In addition, Jacob’s background in electrical engineering gives him unique insights on complex and technical concepts for a variety of technologies, including nanofabrication, integrated circuits, semiconductor and optoelectronic devices, and telecommunications. Jacob has experience in drafting and negotiating IP licensing agreements and in IP due diligence support for corporate technology transactions.
Prior to law school, Jacob worked at Brookhaven National Laboratory, where he published work on photonic devices and optical communications. Jacob’s experience working with transformative technology allows him to understand our client’s business needs and develop patent strategies to protect their IP portfolios.
Jacob attended the George Washington University Law School, where he interned with the Intellectual Property Section of the Department of Justice. Jacob also holds an MS degree in electrical engineering from Columbia University.
