Jack Mellett

Associate

Jack advises on a wide range of multi-jurisdictional leveraged finance transactions, acting for a range of financial sponsors together with their portfolio companies as well as banks and financial institutions as lenders.
Jack has also worked across the corporate and international capital markets departments at the firm in addition to spending six months on secondment in the firm’s New York office advising on a range of leveraged and other multi-jurisdictional financing matters. Jack has so far gained a variety of experience in cross-border leveraged buyouts, refinancings, portfolio company matters and the syndicated loan market.

Experience

Pro bono

Advising on a successful bail application for an individual detained in an immigration detention centre as part of the firm's partnership with Bail for Immigration Detainees (charity).

Advising clients at the Toynbee Hall free legal advice clinic on a range of housing and small claims matters.

Participating as a volunteer in several sessions delivered to sixth form students from across London regarding careers in law and elsewhere in the city, including participating in mock interview and commercial awareness workshops as part of the Smart Start programme.
