Hicham is the managing partner of Allen & Overy in Casablanca. He has extensive experience in mergers & acquisitions, real estate, structured finance, project finance and, more generally, in foreign investments. He has also advised on most infrastructure PPP transactions and on large financing deals in Morocco over the last 20 years. He has been involved in most large-scale, high profile transactions undertaken in Morocco over the last years and is regularly advising clients on their acquisitions in Africa. He is top ranked as a leading individual in Chambers Global 2018 and Legal 500 EMEA 2018 and Project Finance Review. Jeune Afrique nominated him amongst the 25 “leaders of tomorrow” on the African continent (September 2013) and top ranked business lawyer in Francophone Africa (February 2018).

He is a member of the French-American Bar Association since 2012. Hicham is qualified in France and Morocco.

Financing of approximately GBP1 billion for Silvertown Tunnel reaches financial close

Allen & Overy has advised a consortium involving Aberdeen Standard Investments, BAM PPP PGGM, Cintra, Macquarie and SK Group in connection with the design, building, financing, maintenance and operation of the Silvertown Tunnel, a twin-bored tunnel under the River Thames between the Greenwich peninsula and Silvertown. Through the ownership by the consortium of RiverLinx Limited, Silvertown is being developed as a public-private partnership with TfL.
