Hans advises listed international and domestic companies as well as medium sized German firms, mainly in corporate and capital market law, and has extensive experience in national and international M&A transactions, joint ventures, as well as in the areas of private equity (especially venture capital), IPOs, capital increases, privatisations and restructuring. He joined in 2001 and became a partner in May 2003. Prior to that he was a partner at White & Case, Feddersen.
Other noteworthy experience includes advising:
- Nuon Energy on its EUR10.3bn takeover by Vattenfall.
- Bisnode on its acquisition of Global Group, the leading German language marketing multi-channel communication provider.
- BSG Real Estate on the formation of a joint venture with SIGNA Prime Selection in relation to the high street retail store portfolio including the landmark Berlin store KaDeWe in Germany with a value exceeding EUR2bn.
- The shareholders of equinet Bank AG on the disposal of their shares in equinet to the Norwegian investment bank Pareto Securities AG.
- Husky Injection Molding Systems, Canada, on its acquisition of Schöttli Group.
- SD Worx on the acquisition of German fidelis HR GmbH from Aurelius.
- Kendrion on the acquisition of Kuhnke.
- Koninklijke Brill on the acquisition of the publishing houses Ferdinand Schöningh, Wilhelm Fink and Imprints Konstanz University Press.
- ManpowerGroup Deutschland GmbH on the acquisition of 7S Group.
- Pandora in connection with expanding its German branch network by 78 rental properties.
