Elise Girdler

Elise brings strong compliance, risk and remediation expertise from her time spent working at global investment/institutional banks in both Australia and London. She joined A&O from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where she worked in compliance for the Institutional Banking & Markets business. Here, she provided Line 2 compliance support to both corporate and public-side teams.

Prior to this, Elise was the ANZ Head of Control Room at UBS Investment Bank in Sydney. In this role, she monitored the effectiveness of the firm’s Information Barriers and supported the Corporate Client Solutions and Equities Research businesses from a compliance perspective. Elise also spent several years with UBS in London in compliance, operational risk control, and market risk stress testing roles.
