Derek is an associate in the Investigations and Litigation practice group in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. His practice focuses on representing clients in class action defense, complex civil litigation, and regulatory investigations spanning federal antitrust, securities, and commodities laws. He has also represented clients in in white collar matters and in adversary proceedings in federal bankruptcy court. 

During law school, Derek was a judicial intern for Magistrate Judge Alan Kay in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
